You are more capable than you realise

Hello Reader,

How are you? Really? Feel free to reply and let me know.

Did you celebrate Easter? I did, and it was a sweet time reflecting on the sacrifice and gift of Jesus to humanity. I spent time with loved ones, singing songs of faith, hope, and love, exchanging much-needed hugs, and enjoying good food. I’m truly grateful.

I want to share this thought with you: You are more capable than you realise. Have you encountered some resistance lately, whether in your thoughts or physically, and felt tired? I understand this struggle. However, each time I’ve pushed past the resistance, I’ve become a better version of Oluwatoni. I know we've all heard the motivational talks that we at times roll our eyes at, but I hope you see this differently.

Whether it’s pushing through discomfort at the gym, learning a challenging new skill that doesn’t come naturally or facing other obstacles, I’ve experienced the regret of giving up and the joy of overcoming. I’ve learned that discomfort in the pursuit of growth is temporary, and it doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re not cut out for whatever it is (although it is important to assess each situation wisely!)

So, I’m here reaching out to encourage you to keep at it, push past the feelings. Whatever you're working to achieve – consistent exercise, healthier eating habits, addressing your emotions through writing or therapy, building your personal brand, improving your punctuality and boldness to speak up at work, seeking new opportunities, or learning something new like coding – whatever it may be, you are more capable than you realise.

Feel free to share your goals that have faced resistance, fatigue, or overwhelming feelings. I want to know.

Remember, you can overcome the challenges; there’s certainly a better version of Reader waiting to be discovered. Breathe deep, remind yourself who you are - CAPABLE - keep at it, and please, push past the feelings.

Stay healthy,

Oluwatoni
